Domestic Abuse Awareness & Response Training

Building Safer Communities Through Knowledge and Action

Domestic abuse affects people of all ages, genders, cultures, and backgrounds. At WWDAS, we believe that education saves lives. Our training equips individuals and organisations with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to recognise abuse, respond safely, and support survivors effectively.

Why Training Matters

Many victims never report abuse. Friends, colleagues, teachers, health professionals, and community members are often the first to notice warning signs.

Training helps you to:

✔ Recognise early indicators of abuse
✔ Respond in a trauma-informed way
✔ Avoid victim-blaming language
✔ Understand risk and safeguarding responsibilities
✔ Signpost safely to specialist support services
✔ Protect yourself and others from escalating harm

West Wales DAS and Calan DVS have developed a training package which will give you the skills, confidence and strategies to spot vulnerability or people behaving inappropriately – and know what to do and say to achieve the best outcome in any given situation.
